The Three Characteristics — Impermanence or Aniccata, state of suffering or Dukkhata, and state of being not self or Anattata— is used as the artist’s main inspiration for creating the works. Although the appearance of worshipped images is incomplete, the audience can understand immediately what the artist’s message is. Incompleteness is a cycle of life or Samsara. Deterioration happens to whoever or whatever. The works called “Truth and Balance of Life No.1 and No.2”, the incomplete images of Lord Brahma and Lord Shiva convey the clear meaning of the works themselves. Flowers and only the images’ torsos are the symbols which have to use personal experiences for the interpretation.
